How can we broadcast news smoothly at top of the hour ?

Ends in our playlists are set to play over next hour with few seconds.
Because all our playlists are set as immediat event at XX:00:00 RB will fade the track wich is played and start with next playlist.

Pety,

Yes, we did that but I'm not sure why it works better without it.  I thought that trigger mix would have made the crossfade better.

Jamie C.

Becouse it is already a mix point set it and it is enough for us. And we also have a lot of File Types as ID, Hour, ADS wich start without fades or mix.

The second reason is for better acounting duration of playlist. That is very important

Another important setting : remove gap between tracks.

I do not use trigger mix for better acounting duration of playlist.
And I made some File Types, for example HOUR tracks.
In image from attach is my mp3 file. I say "It was two a clock".
The start and the and is very important and I used track tool for make the right marks...

I left a short pause in the beginning and at the end of hour track to sound natural

Pety,

Trigger Mix is not applied for custom file types. And it's not used if a track has custom Mix point set via Track Tool. Crossfading sounds better when Trigger Mix is on... IMO.

I know, but the other tracks are not under this rule and I observed that duration account is not so exactly

Yes, Trigger Mix can affect playlist duration. But the "filler" feature which is planned for RB 5.0 will get rid of this problem :)

And I am courious about time syncronisation too  ;)
While this is planned for the future, I can't promise that it will be added in the 5.0 release...
I will ask you for this future until I will die  :D

You can do that. HCJB did it. Now americans left HCJB (some of them) softs and aquired RadioBOSS. That says a lot about your skills. I know you can do it... The problem is when. I pray to be sooner than you want :)
