How to turn OFF update reminder

I can't afford to pay for a RB upgrade this time around, is there any way to turn off the on screen update reminders, such as in the top right corner, etc?
I don't want to accidentally hit the upgrade button, or be reminded that I can't afford it right now. Just curious.

Yes, it can be disabled from Help > Automatically check for updates menu.
