live/not live

I opened a ticket, but since it's been ignored, I'll try here. Radioboss desktop says it's live. On air light, the encoder says active, etc. Problem is the cloud is still playing. I need this to stop. When desktop is live, i would prefer it to work. thanks,

I have the same issue have sent multiple support tickets… We had several outage yesterday morning since then can not broadcast live. All settings are correct we have over 25 remote DJ experiencing the same problem. The encoder connects and we can see this purple indicator in the software. So settings are correct and we have live sound indicator lights (levels) so know that sound is playing however it does not cut off the auto DJ. auto DJ continues to play in the background no matter what. We have restarted server we have restarted routers we have tried new log in user and password but still having this issue this is now urgent please respond !!

Hi RadioBOSS Support,

Since the c30 server outage/restart on 10 September, our live source no longer takes over from AutoDJ.

Our encoder successfully connects to /live, RadioBOSS Cloud displays Live source, and the Icecast statistics confirm that the server is receiving the live audio.

/live currently shows an incoming bitrate of approximately 130 kbps, BUTT as the user agent, and increasing bytes received. However, it has 0 listeners, 0 outgoing bitrate and 0 bytes sent.

At the same time /autodj has listeners and approximately 3,978 kbps outgoing, so all listeners remain on the AutoDJ source.

The server statistics show:

server_start: 10/Sep/2026 11:13:11 -0700

/autodj stream_start: 10/Sep/2026 11:13:21 -0700

This configuration worked normally for approximately four years before the outage. We have also tested different authorised DJ accounts with the same result.

Could you please check the live/AutoDJ listener switching/fallback/routing configuration or process for our station on c30 following the server restart?

Please note that /live itself is healthy and actively receiving the 128 kbps source; the problem appears to be that the listeners are not being transitioned away from /autodj when the live source becomes available.

Thanks,

Please check now, the live stream should work (we did a short test and live streaming works). Please also consider switching to Zerocast server in Settings > Advanced.

I appreciate you getting this fixed but have you given not given any feedback or the cause of both the recent server outage and the fact that live/AutoDJ listener switching/fallback/routing configuration was not function correctly... There was clearly nothing we did wrong on our side as I even moved listner manually to the /live stream and could hear he remote DJ so this was defiantly something server side. It would be helpful for myself and other to have a better understanding of what has happend and how you fixed it... ?

Lastly please could you let me know if Zerocast works directly with an IceCast Encoder as my current encoder does not have the Zerocast option. If the switch is smooth beneficial please can you give some additional light on that also.

Thanks for your support

One of the problems is Icecast server, sometimes it just doesn't work right and that is one of the reasons we developed our own Zerocast server to solve problems like this. There was a newsletter about it recently - you can switch to Zerocast in Settings > Advanced.

In most cases, you can restart the player and the server from the System area. In rare cases, the problem is deeper, however. But in your case restart fixed it.

Zerocast is fully compatible with Icecast, so wherever there's an option to select server type, select Icecast, even if using Zerocast.
