Mic never goes quiet?

My mic is a ATR2500 an it never goes quiet in RB, I might of had it almost quiet. Well in Radio Boss its spiking but no one is complain? They all say I sound amazing yet RB is showing my mic spiking, All over the place I just bought this mic any Ideas?

You should adjust mic level in Windows, RadioBOSS just displays the level it gets... Can you post a screenshot of "spike"?

Ok I have the atr2500, This mic is set at 20 in the mic options. So yeah it wont go quiet it spike when i am not talking? Also a lot of static when i talk an listen to music weird. http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/wired_mics/38847e6f71eb2784/

The MIC will always have some background level.

yea but will this be dead air of heard air on the radio? I am just wondering i am curious.
