Mix tracks and the « Replace playlist » function

Hello,

When using the "Replace playlist" function,
Or if we delete the entire Playlist to put a new one,

Is it possible to correct the mix between the last track in the old playlist and the first track in the new playlist?
And to ensure that the mix is usually done according to the "Mix" and "Start mix" mix points?

Explanation:​

The current playlist is cleared when a new playlist is requested. The command works perfectly (Replace playlist).

The currently playing track corresponds to the previous playlist. And it no longer appears in the PLAYLIST. The tracks in the PLAYLIST correspond to the new playlist.

When the current track mixes with the next track in the new playlist, the "Mix" and "Start Mix" mix points are ignored in this case only.
This means that the mix takes into account the "End" and "Start" mix points.
This allows the fade out and fade in of both tracks to be heard separately.
This creates an unwanted silence depending on the track configuration. It's annoying.

Start Mix is calculated for when playback starts - for the currently playing (and deleted) track it happened before the playlist was cleared. After new tracks are inserted, the will not check the "previous" track, because it's deleted already, and it will be mixed based on crossfade/file type/etc settings.

You should probably clear the playlist at some other point, if you want to properly take into account Mix Start/Override previous track mix.

For your information, all my tracks have mix points (Start, Start Mix, Mix, End, etc.) to create more precise mixes.
I delete the playlist during playback for one main reason: a new music show.
I don't choose to insert a new playlist after the currently playing track because I would end up with a very large number of tracks in the playlist player.

Is it possible to modify the "delete playlist" function (replace playlist): delete the entire playlist except for the currently playing track? Or add this option?
This would allow me to keep the various settings and correctly handle Mix Start/Override.

In this case, you can use the "clearplaylist up" and "clearplaylist down" commands. I use them to delete the tracks before and after the currently playing song. This will solve your problem.

You're right, I think that instead of a command there should be an option to activate and deactivate directly when using "replace playlist", it would simplify things a lot.

It would be an option or mode, for example: "replace playlist, except current track"

Interesting idea, I think this will be implemented somehow (an option in the Scheduler section perhaps). Currently you can use clearplaylist up command as suggested above.
