Playlist Generator: New Statistics/Information

Is it possible to add new information as additional columns in the Playlist Generator??
  • Display the number of tracks per category (a previous request of mine), while accounting for periodicity, the specific day, and the start time (dayparting).
  • Display the total number of tracks per preset.
  • Display the number of categories per preset.

Having this information available in real-time - as I select the day and time - would be highly valuable for performing mathematical analysis and fine-tuning music rotations.

I am encountering issues that stem not from the Playlist Generator itself, but from constraints related to time periods and scheduling:
  • Track playback periodicity: Certain tracks within a category may be excluded from the count because they fall outside of an allowed time period - or conversely, additional tracks may be included.
  • Dayparting: A single rotation may account for a specific number of tracks during certain times of the day, while accounting for a different number of tracks during other times of the day.
The resulting issues include: no tracks being selected (insufficient tracks in a category) or tracks not being played frequently enough (too many tracks in a category).
Currently, I have to manually run generation simulations to determine the number of tracks per category, note them down, and add them up - a very time-consuming process.

Access to such statistical data would enable the creation of optimized rotations.

To display this information, it will need to process the preset entirely: load everything, apply filters, etc. It's not possible in real-time.

This complicates things even further. I mean, for displaying purposes, because you may loot at it at one time and preset will be used at another time, meaning different tracks will be enabled/disabled by Dayparting feature.

This is the only practical way. Doing an extensive preset/category analysis in the main window is not going to work, this window has a different purpose. The main instrument in checking the preset is going a test run and checking the Log window, in there you can see how many tracks were loaded, filtered out, any errors, etc. Showing this in the main window does not add anything to the information the Log already has.
