Prelisten Line.IN BUG - RB 5.1.1.0

As I tell in a previous post Line.IN prelisten is listening ON AIR (on Main Playback).
With this newest version of RadioBOSS 5.1.1.0 nothing changed.
But now I cannot listen in prelisten (in Preview). When I push prelisten icon I hear LineIN only in Main playback. That is a very huge BUG.

OS: Windows XP SP3 (licensed);
Input settings: LineIN - Windows Mixer (Crystal SoundFusion).
Prelisten - Crystal SoundFusion speakers

So, please, check this relation: Windows Mixer - Line Input - Prelisten

It will not work with Windows Mixer Control driver, as the sound is not processed by RadioBOSS in this case - therefore it can't reroute the signal to the prelisten sound card.

It is a technical limitation - in order to fix it, switch the driver to DirectSound or, if you also want to get rid of latency, use ASIO (install ASIO4ALL if your sound card doesn't natively support ASIO).

Ha ha ha. It worked very nice and easy untill now. Version 4.9 managed very well this.
I have a principle: IF ONE THING WORKS GREAT DON'T CHANGE IT.
I do not want to install asio4all. My old XP works great (worked until now). It doesn't need improvements.
My suggestion is to make some researchings to see what was very, very good in 4.9 and to restore it in 5.1.
I would like to tell you that RadioBOSS works with the same settings from version 4.6.x when we purchased it.

I wouldn't like to make a downgrade to version 4.9 becouse here in this environment I found a lot of bugs. Here I work 24/7. I work with RB everyday in windows XP. Here is a terestrial radiostation and here I make a lot of tests. If I make a downgrade my bug hunting activity (for 5.x version) will dramaticaly decrease.

I have another two radio stations (as administrator) but they are only on the internet and I do not work everyday to them and without so complex audio settings.

It could not work in version 4.9, or any other version, as it's technically impossible... This is how Windows Mixer Control works. As I wrote before, when you use Windows Mixer Control, the sound is not processed by RadioBOSS, therefore the "Preview Soundcard" setting is being ignored.

The Windows Mixer Control simply checks/unchecks the "Mute" setting for the "Line In" in Windows Mixer (that's why it's called Windows Mixer Control). See the screenshot attached.

It was always like this and was never changed.

OK, I'll check it. I used Windows Mixer Control from the beginning. So if you didn't make any change it should work, isn't it?.

The Windows Mixer Control simply checks and unchecks the Mute checkbox in Windows Mixer. You can open sound control window (double click on the speaker icon in the notification area to open it) to see if this really happens. If it happens, then this feature works. It was not changed since it was introduced in RadioBOSS.

If you want it not to be heard on the main playback device, then your line input needs to be on another device. E.g. you use SoundCard1 as a Main soundcard, an SoundCard2 as Pre-listen sound card. You can use SoundCard2's linear input as your Line.In in RadioBOSS, this way it should work as you need I suppose.
