RadioBOSS 7.2 [beta]

Hello,
is it possible to start a timer earlier than just a few seconds?
For example, for a timer set to start at 12:00, and the previous playlist ending at 11:59:56 AM.
Thank you for your reply.
Sincerely,
Loic

Time Stretching only applies to music tracks. These are the only elements whose playback speed can be adjusted to allow other segments (host, reporter, commercials) to play/speak at their scheduled times.
I'm not sure yet how we'll proceed with this. Presently, the general idea is to add Speed configuration in Track Tool to make a fixed adjustment of track's playback speed (similar to how "Playback level" works) and then a temporary configuration may also be added for playlist, to configure the playback speed for one playout (similar to how "Segue Editor" works).

The same thing: SQLite and I get a similar result regarding the letter "a" / "à".
This is not the same in the search results. And I use the mouse.
Thank you, the search and next track issue will be checked.

It appears that in this beta version there is no indication that the Relay is active. In previous versions, the Relay status was displayed in the On Air window. Currently, no information is shown to indicate whether the Relay is connected or disconnected.
Thank you, this will be fixed in the next update.

I am testing the new beta version of RadioBOSS, and it should be possible to choose post/pre listening on the mixer, so that you can also hear what is on the different channels before sending it on air. Basically a kind of cue function that lets you pre-listen to the audio from, for example, Line 1 before broadcasting it.
Thank you for the suggestion, I think this will be added in one of the next updates.

I have a category of tracks in my library that are in italics in the playlist. Why is that?
Have a good day.
RadioBOSS marks voice tracks in italic font. In your case, either those tracks reside in the voice track folder, or you have defined a file type with "Treat as a voice track" option and all tracks of that type will be marked in italic font because of that.

I love the feature where playlists can be generated before events, given that radioboss can predict the start time of tracks, would it be reasonable to have the playlist that is generated early to be inserted in to the main playlist so that its content will play at the time of the event? This would also give radioboss time to work out sweepers and the amount of time compression necessary to get things started as soon as close to the start time of the event as possible.
I think sweepers can be applied in this case - but as the actual command starts earlier, it should apply sweepers based on event's start time. I think this adjustment will be applied soon.

Small deal, maybe a bug, maybe just because it's beta. In the bottom bar, the icons of programs that are open get a bar underneath, the app in the foreground gets a larger bar. Radioboss has nothing, no matter the focus. In the screenshot Radioboss is the active foreground window.
It depends on how you added it to the taskbar. If you have added the default shortcut there, it opens launcher (not RadioBOSS directly), so the underline may not appear. You can fix it by removing the RadioBOSS icon from taskbar, then start RadioBOSS, and right-click its taskbar icon and select "Pin to taskbar".

You can achieve this by setting the event's start time to 11:59:56 AM I think.

The error is inside the plugin's DLL so it's either a bug there, or some sort of weird incompatibility with RadioBOSS. I don't think much can be done here from our side.

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I know that the hourly top can be triggered at 11:59:56 AM, but in cases where the hourly top is at 12:00 PM and the previous playlist ends at 11:59:56 AM with the tracks stretched, couldn't the 12:00 PM top be triggered automatically, with a maximum delay that could be set by the user?

For Dayparting to work, you will need to always specify the playlist start time. This means, updating all the events that generate the playlist, adding the start time there. Or, if you use the Generate Multiple Playlists window, specify the start time there. Please note that start time specified there is for the first playlist, the second playlist will have its start time as [configured Start Time] + [first playlist duration], third playlist will have its start time as [configured Start Time] + [first playlist duration] + [second playlist duration], etc.
Thank you for these detailed explanations. That's good to know.

If I only have one playlist to generate from Playlist Generator, I click on "Generate." That was one of the two previous examples.
Where do I set the playlist start time for Dayparting to work? I can't find it.

I suggested inserting this start time in the "Settings" tab of Playlist Generator.
But that would create a default start time that would conflict with scheduled events where other start times are defined. Perhaps add an "automatic reset" option: as soon as "Generate" is clicked, the start time becomes grayed out again.

By using "Generate multiple playlists", it's possible, since version 7.2.0.2, to define the start time (and day). And for generating a single playlist, it works.
But it's a bit time-consuming to go through this step. Furthermore, this makes no sense for generating a single playlist.

Yes, the general idea is good.
Besides music tracks, could this be extended to other file types? For example, to adjust the length of a film review.
and then a temporary configuration may also be added for playlist, to configure the playback speed for one playout (similar to how "Segue Editor" works).
Yes, a "Sequence Editor" option for Time Stretch. Two fields could then be displayed:
  • Duration of the original track: hh:mm:ss
  • Duration of the desired track: hh:mm:ss
Upon confirmation, the Time Stretch value (%) is automatically calculated and would also be displayed in the "#" column of the playlist.
