RadioLogger

Hello, I'm currently testing the demo version of the logger and I have the following questions:
1. Does file split not work in the demo version? I turned it on to make 10-minute files and it doesn't work.
2. Is it possible to enable several application instances? We are currently using Dante audio cards and would like to record several streams. Are you thinking about the possibility of turning on the application several times or a version that allows you to record 2-10 streams on one machine ?
2. Is it possible to add an option to save recordings from each day in a different folder ? (for examlpe each day of the month has a different folder with recordings from that day).

This is not limited in Demo so split will work there too. Do you use the latest RadioLogger version?

Yes, please see this guide: https://www.djsoft.net/enu/radioboss_multiple_stations.htm (it's for RadioBOSS but general idea is the same).

It can be configured in the file name template, e.g. you can have file name defined as
Code:
%y\%m\%d\%hh%mm%ss
This will make it create separate folders for month/days/years.

Thank you for your answer. We set everything up the way we wanted it. We have even purchased a license for Logger. We only miss one thing. Have you thought about a player with export option? We set the program to record every 10 minutes so that we can quickly cut something out of the recording. But with this system, we lack a tool that could export e.g. 1 hour of our recordings (merge these files). And it would be nice if it was a program independent of the logger, with only the unc path set and the person could choose the range and export the selected piece.

I'm afraid that RadioLogger is not designed for it, its purpose is to log what station is playing, for reviewing or similar purposes - not to be played back on the radio.
If you want to record something on time, you can use RadioBOSS - it can start/stop recording at arbitrary times. Maybe there are better tools for such task, you can search the net for it.

First: Is it possible for RadioLogger to also record silence? Currently, the program records when a signal is given. When there is a break in the transmitted signal, the program continues to record for 10 seconds and then does not increase the file size and waits until the signal appears again. The idea is to obtain continuous recording even when there is silence.
Second: We run several instances of Radiologger to record different signal sources simultaneously. Would it be possible for each running instance of the Radiologger program to have an additional description in the header bar, which by default contains information about the program version?

It depends on the recording source. If you record from an input, it will record silence as well. If you record from a stream, and when a stream is offline - there's nothing for it to record (there's no signal at all, and it's technically not a silence). If there's silence in the stream, it will be recorded.

Thank you for the suggestion, it will be added in the next update.
