Relay Feature

Is there a way to set a duration for when a relay is running. For example set the relay to run for an hour and then cut off or stop. Using only one event. I realize that the duration limit doesn't stop it at all.

eg. relaystart https://streamurl/8000/live #3600

I also saw where when a relay is active it doesn't send the meta data information for that event. In comparison to if i create a event normally without the relaystart option infront of the url.

Yes, this is by design - when the relay is active, it will send the titles from the relay.

What i am getting is the meta data from what is playing in the playlist. So no information is being actual relayed about the relay url information in the event itself

This is a sample of the settings i use. On another i was using the duration limit

The relaystart command doesn't support specifying duration via #nnnn - so this should be removed (in the future we'll add this possibility), also, setting the Duration Limit will not work either, as it's for the items that are playing in the playlist or overlay, while relaystart is a command and duration limit can't be applied there.

Regarding the titles, if the relayed stream has titles, they will be sent, otherwise, no titles are sent.

I have not seen the metadata of the relay been sent. So i am not sure if there is something else i am to be doing or set. It is pulling the playlist metadata while the relay is running
