when i talk live(dry) and about to go into a commercial break i always get my server to close and restart, im talking into a spot set and server dis-connects ...what can i do to stop this?

Try the following: open Settings window (Settings->Options), select Playback and put a check mark for "Produce silent output when nothing is playing"

Oh, I'm sorry, this feature was added in RadioBOSS 4.9, which is currently under development (http://www.djsoft.net/smf/index.php/topic,3326.0.html) - it's not available with the current stable version.

You can try using the beta version or wait until it's released. This is the easiest solution.

Very good!  I installed 4.9 and the mic has let me do great interviews right into commercials!  So tell me is there away to hear the song fading or when i hit the mic does it deaden the song fading?? (would like to hear music and me talking over song fading into interview into commercial.......???

also my songs sound double in 4.9 and i change my buffer it works for awhile then goes double again...how do i fix this please?  Thanks!!

When you hit MIC button it fades out the playlist. In Settings->Input you can set the music level when you use mic (default is -15dB) and fade duration.

What does "song double" mean?

it sounds like 2 songs playing at once (echoes the same song) i reset buffer it works then goes back to double i have had the buffer set at 1,025 , 512 and 128 etc...  It has worked on all but then when i close RadioBOSS it echoes again and i have to reset buffer all the time to get it to play right.

How do you reset a buffer? Please check sound card settings - maybe you have some soft of Echo DSP enabled there.

If there is an active mixer sound is played from mixer main out monitor and from sound card too. And what you here is an echo sound. We had this situation in our studio.

If you don't use the MIC and just play a track in RadioBOSS - does it play fine or you still have an echo?

What operating system and sound card you're using?
