YES Please ! With multiple DJs this is essential and some don't know about time. That will annoy others, especially when they come one after the other. Is it implemented at all??
What's the workaround otherwise?
Good that DJ can have own logins and ftp but time slot linked to events is really needed.
Can Scheduled AutoDJ Events Force Disconnect a Live DJ?
Hi RadioBOSS team,
We’re looking for a way to manage when DJs are allowed to connect in RadioBOSS Cloud, but we understand there’s no built-in feature to restrict login times for DJ accounts (e.g., only allow DJ Alex to stream on Mondays from 18:00 to 20:00).
Possible Workaround — Would This Work?
We’re considering using a
scheduled event in the Scheduler to force AutoDJ to take over at a specific time. For example:
- Schedule an event at 20:00 to start an AutoDJ playlist
- Use the following settings:
Insert into playback
Stop current track/event
Start playback even if DJ/track playing
Our assumption is that this would forcibly interrupt a live DJ stream and hand control back to AutoDJ.
Can you confirm if this method:
- Reliably disconnects a currently connected DJ?
- Prevents them from continuing to stream after the event fires?
Context & Request
The goal is to create a soft way to
enforce DJ time limits, even without native time-based login restrictions. If this workaround is reliable, we can combine it with manual DJ account enabling/disabling. Otherwise, we’d love to see:
- A future feature to define allowed login time ranges per DJ
- Automatic rejection of DJ connection attempts outside allowed windows
- Optional alert/logging when unauthorized attempts are made
Thanks for your guidance, and for continuing to improve the platform!
