Playlist creation error

Hi,
I have the same problem that does not occur every day, but if I manually generate the playlist it is created correctly for the next 24 hours, but tonight RadioBOSS sent a playlist creation error and the radio remained muted all night...

it is very unpleasant for us, it is urgent for you to fix this thing, up to 4/5 months ago all this did not happen.

Please update to the latest RadioBOSS 7.1.3, it has an adjustment that should help: https://www.djsoft.net/community/th...sheduled-playlist-generation.12477/post-54086

You should check the logs: playlistgenerator.log file in the Log folder (Settings->Open Settings Folder).

I use RadioBOSS 7.1.3, and at 00.30 the error "PlGen error 1" occurred again and left my radio muted for the whole night.
I forwarded you the log in the previous message via we trasnfer link, but I'm sending it here again, along with the screenshot.

No, because if I launch it manually it works.
This night (automatically at 00:30 every day) it did not work.

In the log there's an error:

[2025-05-12 00:30:06] ERROR: Unable to find track that fits criteria (rule: norepeat-track). Category: "CLASSIC ROCK END"

It may not always appear because different tracks were played, but this does mean that you should add more tracks for the CLASSIC ROCK END category and/or make the "Do not repeat track" repeat protection rule less strict (and also review all other repeat protection rules).

It means that the rule is still too strict. You can define category-specific repeat protection rules in the category settings - in case you don't want to make the general repeat protection rules too easy. Useful for categories will less tracks.

The "No appropriate tracks in category" message is now a warning, not an error. This message is shown when the category doesn't have any source tracks, or there are tracks but they were excluded due to filters or other settings. This is a different case. In your case, it's unable to select a track because of repeat protection rules. This was always treated as error.

It is not correct there either. On your screenshot, it does show an error message and also ">55 errors" (it hides duplicate error messages to prevent flooding the log window):

It seems that both categories (CLASSIC ROCK and CLASSIC ROCK END) suffer from the same problem: too strict "do not repeat track" repeat protection rule. You should fix this rule - and, possibly, other rules too. Check the logs to ensure there are no error messages.

Music Library has a tool to help you test the repeat protection rules - in the menu click Tools -> Repeat Protection Rules Test. This will help you find suitable values to start with.
