Connecting Numark mixer to soundcard and streaming

I am pretty computer literate but I cannot figure out how to get a live linein to stream.  I have a Numark mixer connected to the linein on my sound card, when I schedule a line in it says error 5 invalid handle.  It skips to the next song in the playlist.  If I stop or pause the playlist my Loudcaster account starts playing their backup playlist.  I need to stream the live shows from our radio station.  Any ideas?

BTW I am using an Acer Aspire t135 that has Realtek ALC655CODEC for audio, running Windows XP with the latest version of radioBOSS connecting to Loudcaster with the mp3 broadcasting codec at 128 kbps.

Error code 5 usually means you have incorrectly selected the device for line.in.
Please enter Settings->Microphone/Line.in, in the line.in section select:
Driver: DirectSound
Device: Realtek device
In the Windows Mixer, switch to Recording and select the appropriate sound card's input.
