DTMF the best settings

I use DTMF between two computers.
The first is running RadioBOSS (receiver) and on the other is Winamp (player).
Sequences are: A12 and B34.
The signal level of wav files is 0dB.
It works fine, but not every time.

Can you recommend the settings, in order to improve detection?
1. Tone length
2. Break length
3. Number of tones

Standard DTMF settings from specification should work fine. Just make sure the signal is clear and it's preferred to run DTMF only, with no background music and with no crossfades.

The three letter sequences are OK.
