Getting errors trying to use the MIC button

I'm using a Scarlet Focusrite on a 2i2 on windows 11. Radio Boss picks it up, but I can only broadcast prerecorded files, but when I press the live MIC, I get errors.
I'm getting "DS-Unable to start the device". I tried different cables, I updated systems, I downloaded the drivers, and I still get the same error message
We just bought the focusrite 2 weeks ago or so, and just took it out the box today 8/29/25

This error message means that device can't be used for some reason. One thing you can try is switch to using WASAPI instead of DirectSound, maybe it'll work.

Hi sorry, I forgot to mention I tried WASAPI, same results. Do you think maybe the Focus rite can be defective.

Either the device is faulty, or, more likely, it's some sort of driver issue.
