Newbie Questions

I came across your software right before I was fixing to purchase SAM and from my tests this is really pretty solid.

I do have a few questions before purchasing.

1. Need to be able to generate logs daily to print that show what we have played, can this software do this?

2. I am using a sound enhancement plugin called Breakaway. I have the software setup on the outputs to go through the Breakaway program then out of the soundcard output so my transmitter gets the enhanced sound breakaway creates, however I can not get the same to output on the stream.

This program is the best enhancement program we have found.

Is there a way to add it to the plugin section to us it?

3. We have hourly news scheduled via Fox News, I have the scheduler automatically getting the feed hourly, however is there a way to have the last song not get cut off when its news time, all other station have the perfect timing and the last song finishes playing before the news starts.

1. RadioBOSS saves a report of played files in the .CSV file. It's not ready for printing... But you may format it using MS Excel for example.

2) If you're talking about this plugin: http://www.winamp.com/plugin/breakaway-audio-enhancer/216726 it should work, as RadioBOSS supports most of Winamp DSP plugins. Howewer, I was unable to test it, because plugin doesn't support Windows 7.
Also, it seems that it's a standalone software, so it won't appear in the "Plugins" section, but will work anyway.

3) You should start news by scheduler. To make it wait until track end, the "Run scheduled launch without waiting for current track to finish" option should be unchecked.

As for the breakaway software I have it setup on the output to go through the processing software then to the sound cards output and that signal is processed, however it does not progress the signal on the web stream and that is what I need it to do. Since it is a winamp type plug in how do I get it to show up on the dj software?

The "Breakaway" is listed as Winamp plugin but actually it's not. It's just a standalone application. Winamp DSP plugins always have file name "dsp_*.dll", but this plugin doesn't.
There's still way to broadcast the signal using this plugin. You just need to use another encoding software which takes input from sound card (so it'll pick up the signal already processed by Breakaway). We have such an encoder in Beta stage: http://www.djsoft.net/smf/index.php/topic,848.0.html

according to Breakaway, their broadcast version of this software will encode the stream however I can not get that to work either now looks like tech support with them

so what I need to know is where the encoder.dll file is that RadioBoss uses to encode the stream. Once I know where this file is I can add it to Breakaway Broadcasters encoder section and get this working we are very very close

RadioBOSS doesn't use any .dll's to encode stream... Instead it uses command-line encoders, like lame.exe. Does Breakaway has its own way to broadcast?

IN THE BREAKAWAY SOFTWARE THERE IS A ENCODER SECTION that uses encoder plug-ins from the radio program to make this work. I have made it work with drs2000 and sam with no issues, but I like your program

I've tried a few other plugins and the Breakaway Broadcaster is the best sounding for the money hope we can get it to work soon

I installed and tried audioproc , followed all directions from RadioBoss and couldn't get it to work

Is there someone in the U.S. who is using radioboss, that might be available to help teach us over the phone to get going.  We have read the manual but really don't get it.  We are a Calvary Chapel in Idaho, and purchased radioboss as our automation system for our new noncommercial fm station. dean h. I can be reached at  calvarychapel@mtida.net

I am getting pretty familiar with this software and would love to help where I can. Please explain exactly what you are setting up and what you need the software to do for you.

This is a pretty solid program even though I can find a few things I would change to make it a bit more competitive with programs like Sam Broadcaster.

You may ask questions here. Discussing tech. questions over the phone is usually not a good idea...

You may write any requests to the "Feature Request" forum: http://www.djsoft.net/smf/index.php/board,2.0.html
Usually we make changes to the program according to those requests :)

Hello,

Played with this Breakaway Plugin, and it seems to be very easy to setup with RadioBOSS.

1) Download and install the Breakaway Live software: http://www.ceaudio.com/download/breakaway_live_setup_0.90.96.exe

2) Download Live Link DSP plugin: http://www.claessonedwards.com/dsp_plugins/dsp_livelink.zip
Extract archive contents to <RadioBOSS Dir>\Plugins\Winamp. (<RadioBOSS Dir> is folder where you have RadioBOSS installed, usually it's something like C:\Program Files (x86)\RadioBOSS).

3) In RadioBOSS open "Plugins" tab, check "Winamp Plugins" to turn Winamp plugins on, then the plugins list will be populated. Check the "Breakaway Live - Live Link1" and click "Start". The plugin name will became bold meaning the plugin started successfully. Please see the picture attached to see how it should look like.

4) Setup broadcasting in RadioBOSS. The signal sent to servers will be already processed by Breakaway plugin.

I am using breakaway Broadcaster not breakaway live, does this make a difference because it doesn't work
Yes. As you can see on this page: http://www.claessonedwards.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=80, there are two versions of Live Link plugins, one for "Live" and one for "Broadcast" version.
So, on Step 2 you should download this plugin: http://www.claessonedwards.com/dsp_plugins/dsp_livelink_bbp.zip and use it instead.

Ok since this is the Newbie section. How  Audioproc to initialize cause radio boss won't initialize it?
