RadioCaster built-in server option

Just purchased RadioCaster after a quick test in Win 10, seems to run very smoothly.

My question is about using the built-in server option to allow a remotely located Barix EXstreamer and a listener using VLC media player to connect.

We have fixed public IP and I'm very familiar with firewall settings, etc, but know nothing about streaming.

I have a couple of simple question but I can't for the life of me find them thru Google searching, most posts seem to be related to connecting to SHOUTcast or Icecast but I just want to allow inwards connection for two remote clients over the internet using RadioCaster built-in server option:

1) The two ports set up in the RadioCaster wizard that I'll need to let through the Windows 10 and Cisco firewalls, are they TCP, UDP, both?  Is it just those two ports that are needed?

2) What's the complete form of URL would I use in VLC and in the Barix if my public IP is 1.2.3.4 ? In VLC the option are http://, RTP://, mms://, rtsp:// ?

Thank you.

OK, have it working on both the Barix and VLC using:

http://1.2.3.4:port/aac+

With RadioCaster set to AAC+ at 96kbps.  Not certain if that's exactly the right format for the URL but it certainly seems to work.

I opened both UDP and TCP as the EtherType protocols thru the firewall.

The listen link for the built-in server is http://ip-address:port

Where ip-address is your computer's IP address and port is the port where you have configured streaming in RadioCaster.
