Again: Icecast doesn't support metadata for OPUS streams. It will show you an error if you try updating the title manually from its admin interface. That's why RadioBOSS can't update the title either. In the future it will be possible of course.

Try yourself changing the metadata for OPUS from the Icecast Administration. It can change for MP3, AAC, OGG for instance, but can't for OPUS.

So what I am finding out is Opus does support metadata just don't support metadata through http, I am trying to figure out how to add the metadata once I do that I can let you know. I was given this link by one of the devs and I am still confused on how metadata works once we all know then its a matter of implementing it; I just found out opus uses the same type of metadata as Ogg/Vorbis supposed to be handled by the source client inside the ogg containers.  http://liveice.sourceforge.net/understanding.html.

Well the devs said it was supported right from the IRC i am on there now so yeah. Also the stable release is coming out today so yea.

So its been released now 2.4 stable and Icecast now supports metadata tags just the source clients needs to. Also I urge you guys to head over to the irc to talk to devs to get the most support for your client so we all can get better support.

These 2 channels will get you in the right direction icecast if you need help on the support of things I urge you to do that because we need opus support and the only way from here on out is if you guys talk to devs straight up, or you can file a bug report on the what you think the issue is could be a bug there that needs to be fixed.

Well as I said above contact the devs on this as I am not a dev on Icecast nore Opus you need to contact them if you want to maximize your support and show users and customers you care for that feature and take it more serious I gave the info you need to go ask now they mention an ogg container and stuff I don't know if you're trying to set tags from http cause http is not allowed they said http bugs out you need to add tags in the container not http I would talk with the devs rather than ruling this a bust.

URL updates work for every stream except for OPUS. We should wait until it's supported and after that metadata will work for OGG. I don't think we can do anything for now... I've added it as a bug, so we'll take a closer loot at it soon anyway.

You need to contact the developers of icecast and opus, they even said to submit a ticket nothing will get fixed if you sit and wait and don't report.
