Shoutcast server not working with new radioboss

I keep getting this. I have already change password just like you have on guide, now what?

Djsoft shoutcast guide is for shoutcast DNAS 2 only

and you are running shoutcast DNAS 1.9.8

so that Shoutcast DNAS 2 guide will not work for you, unless you are running Shoutcast DNAS 2

I am using this guide http://www.djsoft.net/enu/broadcast.htm which is for the version I am using. I actually already made shoutcast 2.0 work with radioboss, but I dont like how it limits genres and it is not as flexible with radioboss.

I actually had radioboss and shoutcast 1 running fine until I did a system recovery on my PC. For some reason after installing the new radioboss nothing will work with shoutcast 1.9.8. My radioboss and shoutcast was working fine witht he version right before shoutcast 2.0 was added to radioboss, and before doing a system recovery. I re-did the same config after my system recovery, so i think it has something to do with radioboss.

You also get a "<01/01/12@19:36:06> [main] error opening source socket! FATAL ERROR! Some other process is using this port!"
error, are you sure you have no pther program which works on the same port? Maybe, you started Shoutcast 2 times by accident?

attached. I removed shoutcast 2.0 from my computer. do you think some part might still be on my computer?

Actually might not be the ports, since i tried different ones and always says 127.0.01 is connected on shoutcats , but radioboss restarts connection non-stop as if server was connecting with radioboss

Any ideas? My radio has been down since yesterday bc of this -_-. Can i at least egt a download link to the version before the shoutcast 2.0 support was added? I want to try out if that is the issue.

The Shoutcast 2 support was added in version 4.6.1.

Tested it with 4.6.0.895 and everything is normal. First i tried to downgrade and probal was still there until removed program completely and installed the old version. Will you guy take a look at this? I just paid last week for a second year of updates, and now i wont be able to u[date this bc of support to previous shoutcast.

*Update*

All radioboss versions are working fine with Shoutcast 1. I finally found what was wrong, which was an issue in the past but forgot. It looks like had I had way too many genres listed in radio boss, so i took some out and it worked. I installed the latest radioboss, released 12.10.11, and it still worked. Sorry for the mix up..

Thanks for the update! But I don't understant, how genres could interfere with broadcasting... Could you give more info on this please? How much genres did you have when it didn't work, and how you reduced the number of genres.

Well,

I'm at work so this is just a guess, but i had a full list of genres, country names, tags ect.. under genres. I would say 15-20. I erased all of them and left out two to test it and it worked fine. I kept adding an extra one testing it out each time until i got that error again , once i got the error just reduced one. I was able to fit quite a few, but I am pretty sure it is the number that affect it. I am sure if you try this out on your end you will find the same issue. Add a bunch of genres until it won't want to connect

I am not at my computer now for screenshot, but no need, I have attached a random picture of radiobos and i put a circle of where i insert the genres, picture is of an older version but not much different.  I just put them like this "pop, rock, country, latin, europe, south america, latin, ect....    I put a lot fo them and had issues connecting or starting server.

Probably, Shoutcast has a limit of the "Genre" field length.
