RB does not need to use this file for playback. It needs to use the new one on the following day.
It happens almost every day. On the next day, if the previous day’s file has been deleted successfully, the getfile command finds the oldest file in the folder and plays it. If the previous...
The latest version still has this problem. The delete process fails when I have a new scheduled task immediately after. At 11:59:59 the program ends and tries to delete (but fails and there is no error). At 12:00, the news starts successfully. As a consequence, the previous program stays in the...
I agree with most of the comments above - RadioBoss offers great value for money and in an amazingly compact package and with features available on some of the more expensive commercial offerings. It has been very reliable on two community stations I manage and the support is excellent. The...
1. Scheduler: If I add an event in scheduler without specifying the start time it starts automatically! I don't recall it having done this in the past....
2. Scheduler: The minutes box does not have a dropdown for 0-59 but the seconds do - is this an oversight?
3. Silence detector; "play next...
No the file is on the same hard drive as RB. If I set the seek precision setting to false, what effect will this have on the mixpoint detection? Because the large file (wav) is tagged as a program, there is no fade in/out set. Should I tick the intro as 0 secs rather than leaving it out? RB...
It seems to happen quite often but not every time. Could it happen if the sweeper falls short and for a fraction of a second the level returns to full volume? Is it related to the direction of the fade parabola?
In 6.2.3.2 sweeper is not working smoothly. It fades just before the event but then suddenly reverts to full volume for a fraction of a second before playing the next event. This sounds really bad!
I am having a consistent problem with playout of certain 2 hour long wav files. When the previous hour ends and fades out to the TOTH, the new 2 hour program is scheduled to start but it can sometimes take 30-50 seconds to start. I wonder if this is because RB is scanning the file somehow or...
Dmitry, the idea is to link the prefade of the playlist to the following event as a selectable default so one doesn’t have to worry about programming up to 100 fadeout commands - I.e. its automated! This is no less elegant than some of the other options you have programmed into the scheduler...
Thanks for that suggestion. I created a multiple event at 59:55 with this command followed by the pause and the news file and it works (as long as you remember that 5 seconds in next=5000 and in pause=5 (this is confusing)!
If you want to avoid messing with the scheduler then the above can...
The following sequence does not appear to work in multiple action events:
next 5000
C:\audio\sample.mp3
When I schedule this event, I want to fade the current track for 5 seconds then play the sample. The first command is ignored and the sample.mp3 plays instantly. Am I doing something wrong...
Overlay will not work. At the end of the overlay the playlist fades in part way through a track rather than playing the next track. In any case, as a workaround, its a bit clumsy as some of the overlays would be an hour long. Also I forgot to mention that all of the TOTH events are preceded...
We wish to be able to do the following without having to insert a separate command:
Every hour at TOTH there is either a news bulletin or a 55 minute program. At approximately 5 seconds before the hour, we want to fade out the music playlist over a period of about 5 seconds so that there is NO...
Many broadcasters need to fade the playlist music just before the start of a news bulletin, or a new program. At the moment this requires careful but tedious timing of an additional fade command so the playlist is at zero volume when the top of the hour is reached. This can be cumbersome and...
