Playlist Generator Pro : Does the playlist generator take into account the real length of the tracks between the start and end points?

Hi Dmitriy,

Sometimes my playlist generator creates playlists that are a little too short, which causes silences on the air and triggers my backup system.

I think this is because the Pl Generator does not take into account the actual length of the track based on the start, mix and end points defined in the track tool. I noticed that this problem of playlists being too short occurred when I had several tracks configured like this, for example, in one hour:

Can you confirm how the Playlist Generator calculates the duration of an hour?

To avoid silence detector I set playlist duration at 01:03:00 into Pi Generator.

Best Regards

The Playlist Generator does read this information. But if some music tracks do not have those points set, and Gap Killer feature removes the silence on playback, the playlist may become shorter a little. Same for the Mix point, especially if you have the "Trigger mix" option enabled, and tracks do not have a Mix point set (in this case it's also detected on playback).

In my case, all the start and end points are clearly defined for the tracks in the hour in question. So perhaps it's a bug?

I know all that, which is why I took the liberty of writing to you, because there is no reason why the Pi Generator should have made a shorter playlist.

Best Regards
