Transferring Tag Information In The Music Library

Hi, I've just upgraded from an outdated RadioBoss 4.1 to 4.3 (I chose 4.3 as it has similar tag editing interface as 4.1 and there's still the ability to scan through songs).

However, when I opened my Music Library Base file which I saved in 4.1 into RadioBoss 4.3, only the usual ID3 tags such as the Artiste Name, Title and Album Artiste are still there. The fadeout and Mix Point I have customized for each track in 4.1 has all been resetted to 0:00 when transferred to 4.3. Is there a way to transfer the previously designated Fade Out & Mix Point timing tags along with the base?

Thanks!

I'm afraid it's not possible. RadioBOSS 4.3 probably has different storage for fadein and other parameters...
How many tracks do you have with those parameters?
Maybe we'll create a little program to convert those settings.

Unfortunately, I've already manually customized my entire Music Library in RadioBoss 4.1. It has about 1500 songs.

It'll be great if you guys created the program. :)

Hi, do post here when you have created the program.

Also, I was wondering if this program would be separate from the software - like the Music Library, and whether I need to update to 4.5 to use it. I definitely hope not though, as prefer using 4.3 for its scanning and buffering bar.

Thanks!

Yes I'll write here when converter is done. It'll be a separate utility just to convert info from old data base to a new one.

What about scanning and buffering bar in 4.3, how it's different from 4.5?

Well if I'm not wrong there isn't a bar in 4.5 - where you can scan through parts of the song (at the bottom of the playlist) by clicking.

I use it often to customize my mix points through trial and error.

Thanks, by the way! :)

Ooh, thanks! I didn't know that.

Anyway, I was also wondering how I can use the scheduler to play a voice only jingle over a start of a song.

Like for example, I wish to play this voiceonly2 jingle (only has a voice saying my station's name without any background music) over the air at the start of a song which vocals has not begun yet, say about 5 seconds of instrumental before the song starts. I have tried using the date and time feature in the scheduler but it is quite inaccurate and the jingle either starts in the middle of the vocal intro or at the end of the previous song. Is there a way to automate it such that such songs (with a delayed vocal intro) will play the jingle when the song starts?

This feature is called "Voice track" and will be added to the program soon. It used to be in older versions, but we temporarily disabled it...

Hi DJsoft, been a while since I posted here. Just wanted to check on this software's progress. I'm still using 4.1 as I only have my tag information on that version, but really wish to upgrade to a newer version.

Thanks!

Currently this isn't a high-priority because of a low demand the converter... I'm afraid it will no be created in the foreseeable future...
