URGENT - Access Violation Error

Dmitry,

Our main RadioBOSS PC had a problem doing Window 7 updates and we fixed that so that it did the updates.  RadioBOSS is now unstable and crashes each time we start it.

We did a reinstall over the top of the previous one and it continued to play up.

We uninstalled RadioBOSS and did a fresh install and renamed the settings folder to preserve the setting for the new installation.

RadioBOSS continues to reboot after about 5-10 seconds after startup.

We are playing CDs to keep the station on the air at the moment.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks, I'm sitting beside the computer,  Jamie C.

If everything was good until you installed Windows updates, then just do a system restore to a point before updates were installed.
Click Start->All programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore. Follow on-screen instructions. When it shows you the list of restore points, you'll probably need to check the "Show more restore points" checkbox.

Restore the system, restart your PC and everything should be fine.

For the future I'd suggest you to turn off automatic updating, leaving only important security updates. If you had problem installing updates before it already means that there's something wrong with the system...

After you restore and able to use RB without problems, click Settings->Open Settings Folder and send couple of the last bugreport_*.txt files. It'll bring some light on what actually made it crash.

Dmitry,

Thanks for the quick response.  We are back on the air.

The bug appeared to be a Internet Explorer 9 bug.  We deleted the browser tabs inside RadioBOSS and then saved RadioBOSS settings, rebooted it and all was good.

Log will be listed below.

Thanks for your quick assistance again .... Jamie C.
