What about a noise gating plugin? At least with condenser mics. That'll take out the noise of the silent parts, and usually you won't hear any noise in the loud parts. But you have to be careful not to set the release time too fast, because then it'll sound unnatural. I have to admit that the sensitivity of condenser mics can sometimes be really annoying. Furthermore, adding vst and dsp to input would be nice. Here is an app that would be good or similar to what you guys should do to minimize back grounds. http://www.dxatlas.com/vshaper/ I also found this plugin and its very great for mics and stuff and does not crash RB only enable it when speaking, which is amazing http://freemusicsoftware.org/815
